T.D. Jakes Presents the Winne Mandela Story

Special Correspondent: John Luerssen

Winnie Mandela, the new film about the personal and political life of the wife of human rights activist and revered former South African President, Nelson Mandela, hits theatres September 6th. Ahead of the hotly anticipated biopic, which stars Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls), this emotional excerpt captures Winnie Mandela during the 18 months she spent in solitary confinement.
Billed as an "Untold Love Story," the motion picture is based on Anné Mariè du Preez Bezdrob's biography Winnie Mandela: A Life. It traces Mandela and her husband – played by Academy Award nominee Terrance Howard (Hustle and Flow) – from his political rise, fall and ultimate imprisonment for his opposition to apartheid to her efforts to win his freedom while carrying on his dream for peace and equality in a free South Africa. In theaters now, check your local listings.
