fellow DJ has made his transition!

Who doesn't remember Frankie Knuckles?

I remember my first year at Columbia College as a Broadcast Communications major where he was the talk of the town!  Every student wanted to be him, (including me) and rock the box like he did!

My career never included being a DJ anywhere, but it was a thrill to even be recognized as a DJ!
(Even if I never hit the club scene, radio DJ was just as cool!) Everyone knew he was the bomb!
He certainly made his mark and left a trail for many to follow.  Rest in peace!

Now a word from the Editor:

If you're on medication, take it!
Remember what happened to V103s Tornado? Diabetic! Gone too soon!
Luther Van Dross? Diabetic! Gone too soon!
Now our beloved Frankie Knuckles! Gone too soon!

Eat right! Live right! Take Meds until you get it right!

Long live his memory!

REST IN PEACE

Frankie Knuckles, one of the most important DJs of all time and the "Godfather of House Music," has died at age 59. Born Francis Nicholls in the Bronx, Knuckles later moved to Chicago, and became the force in 80s dance music. While not a household name who was fully celebrated by the masses, Frankie was a giant who will be terribly missed. - Soul Tracks
