African American History Month

February is African American History Month If you grew up not liking yourself,  you are not alone. If you did not grow up with life giving you wanted  then you are not alone.  Most African Americans have had an extremely challenging life in the USA! (Despite statistics stating otherwise!) The fact that you've made it thus far, is a great sign that there is something else that the Universe has in store for you. There is something else you were destined to do in this experience we call life! You can smoke it away you can drink it away you can gamble it away you can eat it away or you can shop it away! When the effects of all that you've done to make it go away, are still there, you still have a chance. So you may as well move on it! No one knows what that thing is, but you! You can feel it in your bones! You may not know exactly what it is that you were put here on this planet to do, but every single experience you've had is leading you in that direction, whether you believe it or not! Do the thing that you are most afraid to do, and see where it leads you. Who would have ever thought that a little country girl from Mississippi (No, not Oprah, but Zelda!) who once chopped cotton, planted seeds, worked on a farm for less than the price of a cup of coffee (talking reg. coffee, not Starbucks) would get to live her dreams as a Radio/TV Personality/Producer (WNUA, WJPC. WEJM, WSSD, WCRX, WCPT, V013/WGCI/AM 1390, WGN/CLTV, BlogTalk Radio, Producer HLN-TV/Mohl TV, etc.) and become a part of a Black Media Team  of another African American who would run for Mayor for the City of Chicago? You see, you are making history all the time, just by being alive! So never take for granted that your life means less than what others/media suggests! You are far more important/relevant/needed than you  will ever understand! Let's continue tomake history together! Let's do what we are all destined to do! Be the very best we can, on any given day, starting today! Make the decision! It's all you have that really matters!
